THE HISTORIC MOTORING AWARDS 2018 SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED

London, 7th September 2018: The people, businesses, cars, clubs, books, events and museums that are in with a chance of winning the most prestigious prizes in historic motoring have been revealed.
Organisers of The Historic Motoring Awards 2018, in association with EFG Private Banking, received hundreds of nominations from experts and enthusiasts across the globe before whittling them down to shortlists for 18 categories. These range from mindblowing restorations to the dedicated individuals and companies whose support keeps the classic car world thriving.
The finalists will now progress to the last stage of the judging process, in which a select committee of specialists and personalities from the motoring world will pick the winners in all the categories bar one, the Car of the Year, which will be decided by a public vote.
The winners will be revealed at a ceremony and gala dinner at the stunning Sheraton Grand Hotel London Park Lane on Thursday 25th October. Steve Rider, sports presenter and TV broadcaster, will be hosting what is sure to be an enjoyable and memorable evening.
Now in their eighth year, The Historic Motoring Awards in association with Octane magazine, recognise and celebrate the elite of the classic and performance car industry and the headline sponsor is EFG Private Banking. The awards are also supported by Footman James, Quick Fit SBS, HERO and Hortons Books.
James Elliott, Editor-in-Chief of Octane, said: “The Historic Motoring Awards showcases the skill and passion of the people and businesses in our industry. The standard of entries was extremely high, and our esteemed judges have some challenging decisions to make. The awards ceremony has long been established as the pre-eminent celebration of a truly global industry. Congratulations to all those shortlisted and best of luck on the night.”
