John Barton ‘Bugatti – The last 20 years’ Lecture at 12.00 noon Sunday April 8th
In the 20 years between 1919 and 1939 Ettore Bugatti, later assisted by his very able son Jean Bugatti, designed, built and sold almost 8,000 cars. However during the last 20 years of the Bugatti company (1943-1963), Ettore Bugatti and then later Roland Bugatti assembled and sold 7 cars, these using pre-war parts and to a 20 year old design. How and why could this have come about?
Ticket Price is £25 per person and will include a seated meal as well as a Q&A opportunity. All profits on ticket sales will go towards the running of the Bugatti Trust and support its educational outreach programme. James Randle lecture at 6pm on  May 24th James Randle has had a long and distinguished career in the motor industry which included 27 years at Jaguar. One of his most famous projects was the Jaguar XJ220 and he was closely involved with the development of the Series III E-type as well as responsible for significant new designs and patents.
Nigel McKnight ‘Quicksilver World Water Speed Record Boat’ lecture to be held on September 21st and Paul Fowler, Enstone Flying Club, ‘The Spitfire’ lecture to be held on October 21st. More details to follow.

2018 at the Bugatti Trust
Our 2018 educational outreach programme: The annual membership contributions, donations and legacies received as well as funds raised by special events allow the Bugatti Trust to support an active Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM) educational outreach programme. The Trust supports Bath University's TBR Formula Student Team, Robotics teams, Coventry University Design and Engineering competitions, the Misha Black awards, Tewkesbury School and local science events. Onsite this year we will be able to offer automotive drawing classes with Stefan Marjoram, Science fun with Cheltenham Science Group and Team Control Freak's robots (our 2018 team who have just been crowned national champions). Kick off educational display for 2018 will be 'Electric Avenue', a display of electric student vehicles built by engineering students from leading UK universities. 'Electric Avenue' will be part of Prescott Bike plus EV Festival on the 14th and 15th April 2018. The summer will see the opening of a new Bugat s by Rembrandt Bugatti, furniture by Carlo Bugatti and much more. The extensive historic archives include 27,000 factory drawings, 10,000 photographs, 1,000 original patents and a wealth of original factory documents. The aims and objectives of the Trust, which is registered in the UK as a charity, are to preserve and make available for the study of the works of Ettore Bugatti, to promote knowledge of his works and raise awareness of the importance of aesthetics and integrated design in engineering.

The Bugatti Trust Museum and Study Centre was founded in 1987 for the benefit of the community by the establishment of a museum and study centre devoted to the history and technical importance of Ettore Bugatti, his cars and other creations. Based by the historic Prescott Hill Climb in the Cotswolds, the Trust is open to visitors all year round . The permanent exhibition includes historic original cars by Ettore Bugatti, sculptures by Rembrandt Bugatti, furniture by Carlo Bugatti and much more.
