The latest title from Porter Press takes readers behind the scenes at Aston Martin to witness the resurrection of the DB4 G.T., one of the most desirable cars ever made. When the British marque announced in early 2017 that it would build 25 Continuation examples of this model, first made from 1959 to 1963, author James Page was granted exclusive access to key people involved in the project and to the Aston Martin Works factory where the cars took shape.
The result of this privileged insight is the complete story of the DB4 G.T. Continuation cars, their technical authenticity and their historical significance – explaining why the cars sold for £1.5m apiece. The author tells how exacting attention to detail ensured absolute authenticity and how the DB4 G.T. was raced in period by such great names as Stirling Moss and Jim Clark. One the most beautiful of all Aston Martins, the DB4 G.T. was also one of the greatest cars from a marque with motorsport in its DNA.
